Horizontal Shaft Impactor. American Pulverizer Horizontal Shaft Impactors are primary and secondary impact crushers. They are available in 20 sizes with rotor dimensions from 12" to 72" and feed openings from 7½" x 12½" to 42" x 84". Throughput capacity can vary from 25 TPH to 1000 TPH depending on the crusher model and material characteristics
The PFR series of Impact crushers are a perfect combination of heavy duty rotor, high wear-resistant materials which are incorporated in the complete high quality, steel fabricated crusher frame and chamber design. This combination has proven to be extremely successful over a long period of time, not only increasing productivity and product quality but also reducing production wear part costs
Impact crushers (also known as impactors or horizontal shaft impactors) can be used in primary, secondary, or tertiary applications. They use inertia of the blowbars fitted to the rotor to fracture the material, resulting in a high reduction ratio

Electric or diesel motors are used to drive our impactors. Rotor speeds vary from 300 to 900 RPM depending on the model of the machine and gradation requirements. Due to the true impact principle, 3-Stage impact mechanism and slow rotor speed, it is possible to operate the crusher with minimum wear and power consumption. No grates are used.
The American Impactor is resistant to uncrushables and plugging. All wear parts can be easily replaced from the side or top. All wear parts can be easily replaced from the side or top by opening the housing cover with the hydraulic system.
